Trio of MIT Sloan alumni make 2023 Forbes Under 30

Three MIT Sloan graduates were named to the 2023 Forbes 30 Under 30 lists. The trio are among a cohort of innovators who “have turned to entrepreneurship to solve the world’s most complex challenges – from global warming to reproductive health,” according to a statement from Forbes.

Electric Hydrogen

Supratim Das, SM ’18, MBA ’22, PhD ’22, is a senior associate at Electric Hydrogen, a startup developing tools and technology for producing clean hydrogen power through electricity rather than fossil fuels.

Gaia AI

Co-founded by Peter McHale, MBA ’22, Gaia’s mobile app collects forest data (for example, tree measurements and species counts) for more accurate analyses for things like carbon credit estimates and forest fire hazards. The firm’s other co-founders are Matthew Carpenter and Acshi Haggenmiller.

Mantel

Mantel is developing a carbon capture technology using molten salts. Mantel’s co-founders include Cameron Halliday, SM '19, MBA '22, PhD '22, Danielle Colson, and Sean Robertson, PhD ’22.
